If users want to pay or an award flight booking tool
Key Takeaways
- The rebranding from AwareFlights to LTVAwardFlights indicates a strategic shift focused on enhancing user perception and potentially elevating market positioning.
- Introducing real-time availability as a fourth benefit effectively addresses a critical user need, likely increasing the tool's appeal to frequent flyers seeking immediate options.
- The initial performance of the app builders Codeium and Windsurf showcasing strong capabilities reflects their potential, but inconsistencies in latency and completeness, such as airport names in autocomplete, highlight areas for improvement.
- The ability to quickly implement features like dark mode and improved autocomplete suggests that iterative feedback loops are essential for refining user experience, reinforcing agility in development.
- Utilizing the landing page and demo for user interviews offers a practical approach to validating assumptions and gathering insights, critical for ongoing product enhancement and customer engagement.

Codeium / Windsurf
Prompting Strategies
I gave a very vague prompt and let Windsurf figure out everything themselves.
My first prompt was:
create a landing page and a demo page for an aware flight optimization tool.
It allows you to set the depature and arrivial location, econoy/biusiness/first class and the loyaliy programm, trip length and month and it will then find you award flight availability
Project Outcomes
What Worked Well
I then asked it to add a dark mode, as well as autocomplete for the airport names, which it added well
What Didn't Work Well
It was slow to generate (i guess you can pay extra for lower latency)
it at first did not add all airport names (only major ones) i needed to prompt several times until it had added enough airpots to the autocomplete
Surprising Findings
The first thing it came up was already pretty good.
Moving Forward
I can use this landing page and demo to show it to customers during user interviews for user research which is awesome
